Governor Nasir El-Rufai releases 25 prisoners on Nigeria’s 60th Independence Day

Governor Nasir El-Rufai;  Hmm, I wanted to go over to another post, but then I came across this particular one and it really caught my attention, this particular governor is supposed to be given an award, well I will tell why I said so.

In fact there are some governors that are supposed to be reelected into power, this particular governor has really proven that being a leader is all about serving humanity.

You can recall that I made a post on the 16th of last month about how one governor practically stopped rape by introducing /implementing a law that legalizes the removal of fallopian tubes and castration for anyone found guilty of rape.

That Is the same governor that I want to talk about today. The governor of Kaduna Nasir El-Rufai has done another remarkable thing in celebration of Nigeria’s independence today.

Governor Nasir El -Rufai of Kaduna state released 25 prisoners and also reduced the sentence for nine others on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th independence.

In his statement today being 1st of oct he said that as our country marks their diamond jubilee of freedom, that it will be so customary to show mercy to some prisoners that are in Kaduna prison.

He was able to achieve this by exercising the power vested by section 212 of the constitution of the advisory council on the prerogative of mercy to annul the sentences of 34 convicts.

Immediately after this statement was released, 25 prisoners were released, while the remaining nine had their sentence reduced, these include committal of death sentences for some prisoners/ armed robbers to life imprisonment.

He did not just stop there today, he also ensured that there are peace and harmony in various communities.

Wow, what more can I say about governor Nasir El-Rufai, he is simply the best.
